Bleeker Street Duplex

The original configuration of this vintage West Village duplex on the top floor of the building had the living quarters below the bedrooms. We flipped this arrangement so that the living, dining, and kitchen areas would have direct access and light from the roof overhead. After stripping the entire apartment down to the shell, we introduced all new systems and infrastructure along with an open stair and roof deck. During construction we found we were able to greatly expand the small skylight in the middle of the living and dining area to bring sunlight deeper into the floorplan through the new open stair.
