Aésop Greenwich Avenue

Our second store for Aésop is in the heart of the West Village landmark district. Working on the idea that this tiny space is more of a sidewalk alcove rather than full-fledged retail space, the main material used is that often used in entry foyers: coco mat, the bristly rug made from coconut husk fibers. The pliability of this material led us to the sinuous wrapping of the space while slick sheets of blackened steel play foil to rough warm mat material.
