Aésop Harvard Square

Our third store for Aésop is on historic Brattle Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts, adjacent to Harvard Square. Formerly a family pharmacy, we left what we could of the existing blue-green (Aesop’s color coincidentally) tinted walls blemishes and all. However, above nine feet, we repaired the ceiling and walls to make a luminous crown with lighting and a new skylight. The product display is a tightly designed delicate steel armature pinned to the walls. Additionally, we turned the largely empty cellar into a luminaire of sorts, by perforating the floor in front to allow a mysterious glow at the storefront at night.
